Telegram Intensive Conversational Course

Study program

12 topics – 3 topics/week):

1) Расскажите о себе! Tell me about yourself! - Learn how to talk about your job, family, where you live and etc.

2) Понедельник – день тяжёлый. Monday is a hard day - Learn how to schedule a meeting or an appointment, and how to talk about your weekly routine

3) Какую кухню вы предпочитаете? What cuisine do you prefer? - Learn how to talk about your food preferences, and how to order food in a restaurant in Russian

4) Чем вы занимаетесь в свободное время? What do you do in your free time? - Learn how to talk about your hobbies and things you do regularly 

5) Покупки в Интернете. Online shopping - Talk about shopping online and offline

6) Ученье – свет! Learning is light! - Talk about education and studying foreign languages

7) Работа и отдых. Work and relax - Discuss jobs, workday and importance of a good rest

8) Море или горы? The sea or mountains - Talk about travelling

9) У природы нет плохой погоды. Nature doesn't have bad weather - Learn how to talk about the weather

10) Главное – здоровье. Nothing is more important than your health - Learn how to talk about health and diseases

11) Киномания. Cinemania - Talk about movies

12) Отношения или «Всё сложно». Relationships - it's all complicated - Talk about relationships, learn lots of useful vocabulary on the topic 

The course is cyclical, which means the 1^st week of the course starts again as soon as the 4^th week is finished. So, you can join the course any Monday, and probably start from topic number 4 or 8, but cover all of the 12 topics in 4 weeks.

The payment can be made separately for each week.

Study process

Materials within one topic include

1) vocabulary list with audio + link to Quizlet, where you can play games and use cards to memorize the words

2) exercises to train the vocabulary usage

3) questions with new vocabulary + 2-3 audio or video answers to these questions from different native speakers + scripts of their answers

4) vocabulary and communicative games, some extra tasks, dialogues

5) impromptu speech on the topics from one native speaker with script

Assignments for each topic:

1) do vocabulary exercises

2) record your voice or make a video of you answering questions + make another record after you receive the corrections to make sure that now you can say it right

3) take part in discussions and games

4) make a video or audio record of impromptu speech on the topic + make another record after you receive the corrections to make sure that now you can say everything absolutely correctly

5) do a test after every 3 topics

Why this course?

1) It’s not just some materials you need to learn by yourself without any teacher’s feedback. It’s a course that will make you feel that you are working hard on your Russian and are really improving. You will receive constant feedback from 1-2 professional teachers, and will be able to ask a question anytime.

2) In Telegram channel and chat box there are also going to be Russian native speakers (our volunteers) that are not professional teachers, but who really want to help you learn their language. So, apart from doing the assignments and all the required work, you can just enjoy chatting with Russian people and improve your writing skills and spelling.

3) This course was created by an education coordinator from Zlatoust Russian Language school, who carefully chose the topics and created the materials that you’ll need to confidently chat with Russian friends or travel to Russia.

4) If your schedule is chaotic, and you cannot have regular Russian live lessons with a teacher, the Telegram course will suit you the best, because you can learn whenever you have free time. It will require about an hour of studying daily.

It’s a convenient platform that is similar to social media sites, because it allows people to make posts that others can comment on. And unlike other messengers, on Telegram you don’t have to read everyone’s messages. You will be able to post your assignments and receive the teacher’s and volunteer’s comments right under it, so you won’t miss or lose anything. Also, Telegram let you pin an important post, so you’ll be able to see it immediately, when you enter the channel.
